Dear Alumni and Friends,
As our fall semester begins and we conclude our centennial celebra-
tion, we turn our focus to the future of the School of Management
and our latest issue of Buffalo Business magazine.
Our cover story, "AI in Your Workplace," beginning on page 8,
explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on vari-
ous business sectors. As AI reshapes industries, our faculty and
alumni are at the forefront, engaging in groundbreaking research
and implementing innovative solutions to deliver impact.
Additionally, this issue highlights our ongoing global engagement
and commitment to social impact. On page 14, our feature on a recent
trip to Ghana showcases how interdisciplinary collaborations across
UB are fostering meaningful experiences for our students and
faculty, as they work alongside local leaders and communities to put
research into action and drive social innovation and leadership.
You can also read about the achievements of our alumni and students
as they make significant contributions in their fields — from Kendra
Brim, MBA '19, who is leading diversity and inclusion initiatives in
the business world (page 7), to the innovative entrepreneurs winning
our Panasci Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (page 4).
Their stories and others throughout the magazine reflect the diverse
and impactful paths our graduates pursue.
We remain focused on providing our students with the conceptual
and technical skills they need, as well as the experiential opportu-
nities that will enable them to be successful in a rapidly evolving
business landscape. Our commitment to innovation, leadership and
global impact remains steadfast, and we look forward to collaborat-
ing on this journey with all of you.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with the UB
School of Management. Together, we will shape the next century of
success and transformation.
Best regards,
Ananth Iyer
